Regulation of the Alexander Technique: The Role of the CNHC

What is the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC)?
CNHC was set up with government support to protect the public by providing a UK voluntary register of health practitioners. CNHC’s register has been approved as an Accredited Register by the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care, a body accountable to Parliament.
Alexander Technique teaching and PAAT are registered with CNHC.

PAAT’s Involvement with CNHC Registration
PAAT is recognised by CNHC as a Professional Association for teachers of Alexander Technique and we encourage our members to be individually registered.
PAAT is also a Verifying Organisation for CNHC, which means PAAT acts on their behalf to uphold a high standard of teaching of the Alexander Technique. PAAT’s role in this process involves checking the details of an applicant’s training, insurance and experience to confirm eligibility for CNHC registration.
